Processing times

The processing times via EMAIL of our certificates are:

• Approximately 3/7 working days for documents processed urgently (we recommend contacting us to confirm processing times before choosing urgency);
• approximately 15 working days for non-urgent and non-apostilled certificates;
• Approximately 40 working days for certificates with apostille.

The delivery of the document in PAPER format is managed by DHL or Poste Italiane, therefore, we do not assume any responsibility in case of delay or loss of the shipment of the document.

Description

The citizenship certificate is a document that proves the Italian citizenship of a natural person who resides in Italy and who is registered in the Anagrafe register of the Municipality of residence. To request it, you need to know the name, surname, date of birth and Municipality of residence of the natural person. To whom is the citizenship certificate addressed? Who can request it?

The citizenship certificate is intended for Italians who are residents in Italy and who are registered in the Anagrafe register of the Municipality of residence.

They are Italian:

• those born in Italy;

• foreign minors adopted by Italians;

• the children of Italians;

• minors born in Italy to unknown parents if they have no other citizenship;

• foreigners who have acquired Italian citizenship (by decree of the Minister of the Interior);

• spouses of Italians who have been legally resident in Italy for at least six months or three years since the marriage (if there has been no annulment/divorce/dissolution).

The citizenship certificate can be requested both by the interested person and by those who want to verify the Italian citizenship of a natural person.

NB It is not possible to request a citizenship certificate for deceased persons.

1. Subject of the Service
Our service consists of forwarding the request to the competent Municipality on behalf of the Client and following up to ensure the application is processed as soon as possible.

2. Limitation of Liability
The success or failure of the request and the corresponding response times do not depend on our work; they are at the sole discretion and responsibility of the Municipality. Our task is considered complete upon the successful transmission of the request, regardless of the outcome (positive, negative, etc.).

3. Client Awareness
The Client declares to be aware of the possible negative outcomes of the request, including, but not limited to, the inability to obtain the document or the ineligibility of the requesting party.

4. Cost of the Service
The cost of the service exclusively covers our activity of forwarding and managing the request and is not refundable in the event of a negative outcome or delays on the part of the Municipality.

5. Timelines
The processing times indicated in the application are estimated times, as we cannot guarantee a precise date for the application's completion. Response times depend solely on the Municipality and can vary. It will be our job to follow up with the Municipality to obtain the document as soon as possible.
