The processing times via EMAIL of our certificates are approximately 15 working days , however, since they are historical, some municipalities such as Milan and Rome could take much longer to carry out the searches;
The delivery of the document in PAPER format is managed by DHL or Poste Italiane, therefore, we do not assume any responsibility in case of delay or loss of the shipment of the document.

Description
The family status certificate or historical family status certificate can be obtained by anyone, in any Italian municipality, provided that they know the personal data of at least one member of the family for which they wish to obtain the document. It is necessary that this individual and his family are, or have been, registered in an Italian municipality.
To obtain the family status certificate or the historical family certificate, simply fill out the form providing the following information:
- Name;
- Surname;
- Date of birth;
- Municipality and province of birth.
- Date and municipality of reference (for the historical certificate).
If the certificate is requested for non-legal use, a stamp duty of €16.00 must be paid.
Furthermore, for the family history certificate alone, the Municipality may require the payment of secretarial fees.
The amount to be paid is approximately € 5.16 for each family member, which will be paid by the customer. The customer will be contacted to proceed with the payment of this amount after we have received the estimate of the cost from the Municipality.
In fact, once we have received the cost estimate from the municipality, we will contact you by phone or send you an email with the amount to be paid and the details for making the payment.
What does the historical family status certificate contain?
The family status certificate contains the personal data of the members of a particular family unit residing in the same house in a given historical period. In particular, it includes:
- Name and Surname of members;
- Date of birth of members;
- Residential address of members;
- Any deceased members;
- Any members who are married or have left the family status.
The document (historical family status certificate) has the value of truthfulness and regularity of the information contained therein as it is signed by the municipal official and is valid throughout the national territory. The historical certificate has an expiration date.
When is it necessary to request a historical family status certificate?
It is necessary to request the family status certificate or the historical family status certificate:
- to create a family fund;
- to get a mortgage;
The family status certificate or historical family status certificate is useful:
- to calculate the ISEE;
- to obtain family support;
- whenever an official certification of one's family status is required.
