From whom can the family status certificate be requested?

The certificate of family status can be requested by anyone in any Italian municipality, provided that the personal data of at least one individual belonging to the family on which the document is to be obtained is known and that the aforementioned subject and his family are, or have been, registered in an Italian municipality.

To request the certificate of family status/historical family certificate, you just need to fill in the form by entering the following information:
• first name;
• surname;
• date of birth;
• municipality and province of birth.
• Date and municipality of reference

NB It may be necessary to pay a stamp duty of € 16.00

What does the family status certificate contain?

The data contained in the family status certificate show the personal data of the members of a specific family nucleus residing in the same house, usually linked to each other by a kinship bond (e.g. husband, wife, children, grandchildren), in particular are:
• Name and Surname of the components;
• Date of birth of the components;
• Residential address of the components;

The family status certificate is the declaration of the public official in which it certifies the registry composition of a family residing in a given municipality.
The document (family status certificate) has the value of truthfulness and regularity of the information contained therein as signed by the municipal official and has unlimited value throughout the national territory.
NB the family status certificate has a time value of six months from the moment of its issue, after this period, it will be necessary to request a new updated family status certificate.

to establish a family fund;
to obtain a mortgage;
applying for the certificate of family status/historical certificate of family status is helpful:
to calculate the ISEE;
to obtain family benefits;
whenever official certification of one's family status is requested.

The delivery of the document in paper format is managed by DHL or Poste Italiane to us, therefore, we do not assume any responsibility in case of delay or loss of the shipment of the document.
