Description
The certificate of the register of administrative sanctions or Certificate of administrative sanctions dependent on crime contains the measures of conviction against an entity for crimes committed by its bodies or officers. This register was established by Legislative Decree no. 231/2001, which introduced the administrative liability of entities with legal personality, as well as companies and associations without such personality, for crimes committed by their representatives.
The certificate is valid for six months from the date of issue. From 1 January 2012, certificates issued by the criminal records office are valid and usable only in relations with private entities. In relations with public administrations, certificates are mandatorily replaced by self-certifications, as provided for by art. 40 of Presidential Decree 445/2000, amended by art. 15 of Law 183/2011.
