Delivery times
The processing times via EMAIL of our certificates are:
- 3/7 working days approximately for documents processed urgently (we recommend contacting us to confirm the processing times before choosing urgency );
- 15 working days approximately for non-urgent and non-apostilled certificates;
- approximately 40 working days for certificates with apostille or of the 19th century.
The delivery of the document in PAPER format is managed by DHL or Poste Italiane, therefore, we do not assume any responsibility in case of delay or loss of the sending the document.
From whom can the birth certificate / extract / multilingual birth extract / full copy of the birth certificate be requested?
The birth certificate, the birth extract and the multilingual birth extract can be requested by anyone in any Italian municipality, provided that the personal data of the individual on whom the document is to be obtained is known and that the aforementioned subject has been registered in an Italian municipality.
The complete copy of the birth certificate, on the other hand, can only be issued to the person directly concerned, or to a relative, or in any case to a person who has a legally relevant interest.
To obtain these documents, one must be delegated by the subject or by one of the two parents in the case of a minor, or in any case by a person who has a legally relevant interest.

To request the birth certificate/excerpt/multilingual extract/full copy of the birth certificate, you just have to fill in the form by entering the following information:
- First name;
- Surname;
- Date of birth;
- Municipality and province of birth.
What does the birth certificate contain?
The data contained in the birth certificate are:
- Name and surname;
- Date of birth;
- Birth place;
- Gender (indicated with the words "she was born" or "he was born");
- Registration number of the birth certificate from which the birth appears.
The birth certificate is the declaration of the public official certifying the birth of a natural person.
The document (birth certificate) has the value of truthfulness and regularity of the information contained therein as signed by the municipal official and has unlimited value throughout the national territory.
What does the birth certificate contain?
The data contained in the birth certificate are:
- Name and surname;
- Date of birth;
- Birth place;
- Gender (indicated with the words "she was born" or "he was born");
- Registration number of the birth certificate from which the birth appears;
- Maternity and paternity;
- Indications on the marital status of the person (e.g. appointment of guardianship/interdiction/marriage/divorce etc..)
What data does the multilingual or international extract contain?
The data contained in the multilingual birth certificate are:
- First name,
- Surname,
- Sex,
- Maternity and paternity;
- Date and place of birth;
The only difference with the "Italian" birth extract is that the multilingual extract is drawn up by the municipality according to a "standard" model, valid and recognized in all the countries that have adhered to the Vienna Convention of '76, namely: Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Germany, Croatia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of Moldova, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey. It does not need translation and usually does not contain annotations
NB In order to legalize the document, the Birth Extract and Multilingual Birth Extract can be apostilled by the local Prefecture. If you want to get the document apostilled, just select "request with apostille" in the form and the request will go directly to our systems.
What does the complete copy of the birth certificate contain?
The integral copy of the birth certificate is the photocopy of the original birth certificate drawn up directly by the registrar of the municipality at the time of the "declaration of birth". The data contained in the complete copy of the birth certificate are:
- First name;
- Surname;
- Sex;
- Place and date of birth;
- Marriage;
- Residence;
- Citizenship;
- Relation (even possibly deceased) with the addition of the personal details of the person who declared the birth.
- Any events that occurred and recorded by the municipality during the life of the natural person.
When to request the birth certificate/excerpt/full copy of the birth certificate
Requesting the birth certificate/excerpt/copy of the deed is necessary:
to obtain recognition by the Italian state;
requesting the birth certificate/excerpt/complete copy is useful:
to obtain maternity or paternity leave,
whenever official certification of personal data is requested.
Know the time of birth
To find out the time of birth, we recommend requesting a copy of the birth certificate, as the birth extract may not show it.
