Processing times
The processing times via EMAIL of our certificates are:
- Approximately 15 working days calculated from the receipt of the delegation for non-apostilled documents and after the year 1925;
- Not defined for documents with apostille (usually we take about 40 working days, but timing is not guaranteed )
- Not defined for documents prior to 1925, as each municipality has a different time frame which can vary up to a maximum of 6 months
ps the days are calculated from the day following the day of receipt of the delegation.
The delivery of the document in PAPER format is managed by DHL or Poste Italiane, therefore, we do not assume any responsibility in case of delay or loss of the shipment of the document.
Description
The death certificate, the death extract and the multilingual extract can be obtained by anyone in any Italian municipality, provided that they know the personal data of the person for whom they wish to obtain the document and that his death was registered in an Italian municipality.
However, the full copy of the death certificate can only be issued to a relative or to a person with a legally relevant interest. The full copy of the death certificate can be issued to anyone with an interest only after 70 years from the formation of the death certificate.
To obtain these documents, you must be authorized by a relative or a person with a legally relevant interest. The authorization form will be sent by email after completing the order.
To request a death certificate, death extract, multilingual extract or a full copy of the death certificate, simply fill out the form providing the following information:
- Name;
- Surname;
- Date of death;
- Municipality and Province of death.

- Place of death of the deceased;
- Registration number of the death certificate certifying the death.
The death certificate is the declaration of a public official that certifies the death of a person in a specific Italian municipality. The document (death certificate) has value of truthfulness and regularity of the information contained in it as it is signed by the municipal official and has unlimited value throughout the national territory.

The only difference with the “Italian” death certificate is that the multilingual certificate is drawn up by the municipality according to a “standard” model, valid and recognized in all countries that have adhered to the Vienna Convention of '76, namely: Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, France, Germany, Croatia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Moldova, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey. It does not require translation.
Information contained in the full copy of the death certificate
The full copy of the death certificate is the photocopy of the original death certificate drawn up directly by the civil registry official of the municipality where the death occurred at the time of the "declaration of death". The full copy of the death certificate contains the following information:
- Name,
- Surname,
- Place of death,
- Date of death,
- Residence of the deceased,
- Citizenship of the deceased;
- Relatives (including possibly deceased) of the deceased,
- Personal details of the person who declared the death of the deceased.
